The process of extracting diesel from waste engine oil:

(1) In professional diesel refining equipment, the waste engine is first pumped into the reaction kettle of the refining equipment. The reaction kettle is vertical and heated in a coil type heat transfer oil at the bottom of the reaction kettle and inside the reaction kettle, followed by thermal cracking to produce oil and gas.

(2) The cracked oil and gas enter a multi-stage catalytic tower, where multiple layers of fillers are placed, and catalysts with different functions are placed in the fillers (usually using catalysts for degumming, dewaxing, and decolorization).

(3) After passing through a multi-stage catalytic tower, the oil and gas enter the condensation system. After exchanging heat with circulating water, the oil and gas liquefy and condense into diesel. The non liquefiable parts (methane, carbon monoxide) are fed into the heating system through the gas system for combustion.

According to the above method, extracting one ton of waste oil requires approximately 100kg of coal, 90 degrees of electricity, and 350kg of water. Excluding the recycling cost of waste engine oil, the cost of consumables used for refining diesel is approximately 400 yuan per ton.

One ton of waste engine oil can extract approximately 600kg-700kg of diesel, with a production rate of approximately 60%.

According to the sales price of diesel at 5 yuan/liter in the market, there is still a profit from refining diesel from waste engine oil, and there is a certain market prospect.

In addition, after the diesel is refined, the remaining asphalt at the bottom of the tank is also an important chemical raw material, which can be used to manufacture waterproof products or for paving.

In summary, waste engine oil, as a substance in petroleum products, is a renewable resource. At present, the number of cars in China is very large, and every car needs to have its oil replaced regularly. Being able to recycle and reuse waste oil is also a means of saving energy.
